Casa de los Vitrales celebrates the history and legacy of the Vicini de Marchena residence, a unique gem of Caribbean architecture of the early twentieth century. Commissioned by Mr. Juan Bautista Perdomo for his marriage to Ms. Consuelo Marchena Damirón, the house applied each one of the technological advances available at the time and remained at the forefront of the aesthetic trends.
This project seeks to incorporate the audience into the house’s most recent restoration process and rightfully credit its head designer, the architect Antonin Nechodoma, focusing on his life, professional career and prolific work in the Dominican Republic and the rest of the Caribbean.
